Puneet is an experienced venture capital professional.

 

After his business studies from IIM-Ahmedabad, he worked as a management consultant for several years with E&Y first and then with Kearney on assignments related to business plan development, idea feasibility, JV partner search, identification of acquisition targets, and valuation. His clients were based in India, South East Asia, China and Europe.

 

In 2006, Puneet joined a principal investment firm, and focused on businesses in electronic manufacturing, hydropower, roads and telecommunications. In 2010, he joined Brand Capital (investment arm of The Times of India Group) and his role shifted to investing in consumer, consumer technology, education and other B2C businesses. When he left his role in 2023, he was managing a portfolio of more than INR 4500 crores. Between 2010 and 2023, he evaluated more than 5000 deals and invested in more than 50 startups. He was a member of the Investment Committee and held board/observer positions in several investments. The investments he is most proud of are Airbnb, Blinkit (Grofers) and CountryDelight.

 

Puneet also led a consumer-tech focused accelerator focused established in JV with GSV Labs (USA).
